Meet Scott
You'll know Scott's teaching worked the moment his student succeeds — because he'll be more excited than they are.
That's not exaggeration. When Alexa passed her checkride on her way to her private pilot certificate, Scott was out of his chair, and headed straight for the Jet Center to celebrate — the same reaction he has for every student who reaches a milestone, family or not.
It's the same instinct that's earned him a 100% first-time checkride pass rate and 1,600+ hours of dual instruction given: Scott doesn't just want you to pass. He wants you to excel and be there when you do.
His commitment to aviation and to the people who serve hasn't gone unnoticed — Scott was featured on KDZA Station in a segment honoring veterans, “Veteran of the Week”.
Meet Dian
If you call WETSU, chances are you're also going to be talking to Dian.
She's originally from Trinidad and Tobago, where she met Scott in 1999. Soon after she moved to North Carolina and then landed in Colorado Springs in 2008 when the Army stationed the family at Fort Carson. It's been home ever since.
Dian holds a Bachelor's in Management Studies from the University of the West Indies. She's been a certified Lighting Specialist through the American Lighting Association since 2012, designing lighting for multimillion-dollar custom homes — and for the last three years, she's brought that same eye for detail to real estate as an agent.
At WETSU, she's basically everything you don't see in the cockpit — but still finds time to join Scott and Alexa to fly for the fun of it.
Dian's proof that you don't have to be a pilot to be part of an aviation family. Though give her time — she's working on it.

Giving Back Through Aviation & Adventure
WETSU Aviation was proud to donate a Mountain Experience to Warrior Mission Ranch, a Colorado nonprofit dedicated to supporting military veterans, Special Operations Forces members, and first responders through ranch, horsemanship, leadership, and vocational programs.
The Mountain Experience was offered as part of WMR Heart of a Warrior Gala held in February 2026, where two couples Scott and Melissa and Dean and Christy were the successful bidders. WETSU Aviation was honored to provide them with an opportunity to experience Colorado's mountains from a different perspective while supporting the mission of Warrior Mission Ranch.
The experience brought together aviation, the Colorado mountains, and a good cause—an opportunity for WETSU Aviation to give back to an organization serving those who have served others.
We are grateful to the couples who participated, and especially to Warrior Mission Ranch for the work they do in our community.
